New Job Change

I started my job on Monday. Now the blanks are filled in. I was suppose to start on Tuesday after Labor Day but I started Monday this week. Why earlier? Because I was pulled by a different department. Instead of doing heavy phone work under a lot of pressure in a department that runs 24/7, I am working in a different dept, doing some phone work and some ticket work for PBX and VMX systems.

I will be working Monday through Friday 8-5. Not bad at all. I was told that I am in the better department. The people are all friendly and really excited that I am there. They are also very supportive. Just what I need since I have ADHD.

It is just a great opportunity for me to continue my IT career and to learn another side of the industry.

New Job on the Way

Last week I went to a job interview. I was unsure if I answered their questions all that great. I must have done something right because they want me to come work for them.

I will be a Front line desktop help tech. I am working through a consulting firm and I filled out my paperwork and did my drug testing today.

As I was doing my paperwork, they got a notice that the company I will be working at reduced the fees they are paying by 3%, so I lost .39 an hour. I wasnt to happy about this.

If they do this again, I will not go to work for them.

I am suppose to start sometime after Labor Day. For the meantime, I am collecting unemployment. Ugh, I thought I selected for them to take out taxes, but they arent. That will be a mess next year.

Test for a Job

I took a test today for a job. Normally, I am one of the last people done because of my ADHD. I always have problems reading the questions and comprehending it. Sometimes I read the question 4 times before realizing I have read the question.

So today at this test, I had not problems. I read 1 or 2 questions a couple times to make sure I had the idea right. Not bad for a test with 178 questions. We had an hour and 10 minutes to take the test. I finished with 1/2 hour left. The fastest person finished about 3 minutes ahead of me. When I finished, there were only 3 others out of 15 done. The others didnt finish for another 10-15 minutes or more.

I was really pleased with this. I have to contribute it to the liquid vitamin supplement and the omega 3 that I have been taking.

ADHDawareness.com

I am working on a new website, ADHDawareness.com. I still have a lot of work a head of me. I only have two pages complete. I have been out of work for a month and finding a job hasn't been easy. I am getting unemployment now and I am going to try to work on my site everyday and get a lot of pages added quickly. For any input, please let me know.
